How's it going VIPs? It's VBop here and we have another Ready VIP live and I'm so excited cuz today joining me is Vibrations. How's it going? >> I'm going pretty good man. What's up everybody? Like you said, my name's Vibrations. Welcome everybody. Thank you for watching and this guy right here. Stay tuned. A lot coming. >> Oh man, I appreciate it. and you too bringing you here. You know, we haven't had as many techno artists um on to come and talk about that side of music and so I'm excited to kind of break into a new genre. >> Yeah, man. It's going to be uh quite the ride for you. >> Hell yeah. So, tell me like what makes your techno different? Like how do you separate yourself from others? >> Um so, honestly with techno there's a lot of sub genres just like any other scene house music. You have your multiple sub genres. Ducks have the other sub genres. techno. They have their own as well. But with me, I'm kind of like one of those oddballs kind of I just like to >> I like to mix and match. So for me, I I put that techno, but I also am a huge fan of dubstep, huge fan of house drum and bass. So with my sets, I try to incorporate a little bit of everything I love. So it's not just one steady sound that's, you know, kind of repetitive. Um, so a lot of my sets will incorporate a lot of my favorite like dubstep tracks and a little bit of drum and bass just cuz with the the BPM I'm at and just the energy, it all kind of aligns to where I can go seamlessly from techno to dub step back to techno and even throw in that drum and bass. So I I'm able to, you know, bring all my worlds together to give everybody a non-stop energy, hard kicks, high energy kind of set every time. just went to Ninth and Jackson last night and seeing some of the um artists there, >> it was great to see the eclectic genres melding together and seeing more like dubstep played with techno cuz >> it really does get a crowd pop where you can see, you know, the enthusiasm. >> Yeah, cuz like even um at Decadence uh if you if anybody saw us play >> Oh yeah. >> he's starting to throw in techno. Every big DJ that has played dubstep is now throwing in a little bit techno because they saw the amount of energy it still brings within their set and it just kind of, you know, it just really flows together. And people just they don't like to mesh as much cuz they're so stuck in the mindset of this is the genre I'm playing, this is what it's going to be. But every now and then it's a nice fresh uh fresher breath there to hear that different sound, but you can always go right back to what you know. >> Absolutely. So, what was your set like last night? How did you uh play that out? Where was it? >> So, my set was at after 12:00 uh on the inside stage and it was honestly it was the craziest thing all night. Um I actually ended up playing extra time because there was still a crowd after we closed and they just came up to me like, "Hey, do you want to keep going?" And I said, "You know what? I'm here for the people. So, if people want it, >> let's keep it going." But >> set, let's go. >> Yeah. I started with uh Movement. I cranked that. Uh cuz I was like obviously biggest track coming out right now, at least for me. And I said, "Why not start with a hit?" And then uh I went back into my techno, but it was uh it's not your typical techno. I I to tend to live in that BPM range of 160 170. Every now and then I'll drop down to 140 to get those dubstep songs in there, but it was high energy the whole time. I'm pretty sure I had my own little workout going. I was sweating and like even like in this mask like at one point I >> I was DJing with my eyes closed cuz I was getting sweat just dropped into my eyes constantly. So, I was just like, I love it, but I was like, man, I'm hot, but I'm here for the people. And it just my set was literally just non-stop chaos for >> an hour and a half straight. >> And doing it in a mask and the sweats and everything. You're up there. And like the music raises your BPM, too. It raises your heart rate, right? >> Yeah. A lot of people are just like, "Where do you go after your set? Like, you want to hang?" I'm like, "Bro, I went backstage to go hydrate and cool off cuz I was dying up there." Like if anybody's ever seen my set and they're like, "Where did he go?" >> Mhm. >> I'm hiding somewhere. Cooling off because I just need it. I need to deescalate my body. Just cool it off. That way I can go back and interact with whoever I need to. >> I totally get it. Cuz up there, too, you're feeding on the crowd's energy. They're giving you constant energy. So, it's not just one person out there dancing, but everybody's feeding you. >> Exactly. Exactly. I always tell people, I'm like, "The more the crowd gives me, the more I'll give back to them." >> It's always just it's a give and take. like you give me some, I'll give you some. That's real. And for anybody out there watching, you know, next time you're out there dancing, remember that you're influencing the set, too. You know, your pop off is what is going to get that DJ going. >> Absolutely. We love it. We need it. We crave it. >> I love We crave it. >> Yeah, man. It was what we need. >> So, what we need now is another show. You got a big show coming up. Let's talk about that. >> So, I have a show coming up February 6th at Night and Jackson as well. >> Hell, yeah. >> Um, our headliner is going to be Hellbound. Um, playing right before him is also Casa and then myself. And, uh, we have No Complaints and a new up and cominging house DJ. Her name is Leah. Um, so pretty much the lineup is going to be going crazy. And we also have a second stage outside that's hosted by Daycare and Influx. Okay. >> So, not only will we have techno inside, but we'll have House outside. So, we got a little bit for everybody. >> Love that. Um, shout out to Daycare and shout out to Nathan Jackson. Excited to see those stages. Uh definitely excited to see you play and what a like you know big gathering of talent. It's going to be a hardcore show. >> Yeah, it's going to be great. And then of course you know I couldn't get away with it without True Fashion and hosting the afters as well. So >> Oh, hell yeah. >> So of course right after our show we're hosting the afters at a location in downtown Phoenix and um we're going to post that pretty soon. So >> yeah. >> Well, secrets abound, but at some point we'll go and we'll put that location in theuh comments and you can go check it out. >> Yes, sir. highly recommend getting his show. I saw you on Halloween. You were dressed as a nun. >> Uh yeah. Yeah, I was dressed as a nun and my backtoback partner was dressed as a priest. >> Oh man, that was wild. You were like jumping all over the place. Show was crazy. >> Yeah. When me and him gets together, who knows what's going to happen and like like you said, I was in the air for at least like 5 seconds. >> Yeah. People were very concerned. They're like, "Are you going to fall?" And I was like, "I don't know. We're just going to see what's going to happen." >> Mastered it. >> Yeah. But it was a great time. If you had one piece of advice for another artist, maybe stuck in the same spot or looking to reinvent or maybe just looking to start their journey, uh what would you tell them? Um I'll look you dead in the eye for this one. Don't stop. Support everyone because the more support you give, the more support you'll get 100%. That's a huge fact. That's what I live by. I try to give as much support as I can. Especially this past year, I've been going out more to show love. So, do not stop. Please do not stop what you're doing. Music will change your life. I promise you. >> You heard it here from Good Vibrations himself. He dropping that wisdom. Don't stop. Keep going. And uh always stay ready, VIPs. >> Yeah, stay ready.
