M14
Tearout & Riddim DJ • Played System Overload 2026 After Brain Surgery • Arizona EDM Scene (Phoenix) • Known for High-Energy Chop Videos
M14 — short for Michael, born November 14th — is an Arizona-based DJ known for a heavy tearout and riddim sound, with influences ranging from Marauda to the hard techno he weaves into his sets. He sat down with RDY VIP host Bebop at The Drop in Downtown Phoenix before his set at the Bass Shift event hosted by Nite Shift, and the conversation goes somewhere few interviews do: two weeks before playing System Overload, M14 was in a hospital bed recovering from brain surgery and a serious infection. He performed the festival anyway, with a PICC line still running to his heart, and his friends turned a photo of him in that hospital bed into a totem reading "from the hospital bed to the DJ decks." M14 talks about moving to Arizona two years ago, falling in love with riddim and the chop, the back-to-backs he dreams about, and a candid message on mental health, burnout, and staying true to yourself while grinding 12-hour shifts. His cousin is fellow Arizona DJ Desert Hydra.
